How does everyone like their grits?
I like mine at the waffle house with a couple of those butter packets and a ton of black pepper.

I like mine with cheese, chopped bacon, and caramelized onion served with fried fish or shrimp.

BONUS ROUND: Random video I found of someone eating grits at Denny's and should be used as an example of why not everyone needs a camera.

My waffle House grits come pre buttered. I actually don't add anything.
We have been going Saturday mornings about once a month for about 4 years and some of the waitresses know the kids and have watched them grow up. I did try to order "The usual" and was denied.

Yeah pretty much all waffle house grits come pre buttered but I still add the two packets. I use a lot of pepper. Like they contemplate refilling it after I'm done lot of pepper.

No. It might be hard to tell in video but they have a very different consistency. It's closer to Malt'o meal.

I am heading to the states for a week on halloween, could you compile me a list of oddities to eat? Grits is one thing. I can obtain some american delicacies from Tesco (like Walmart but less guns) such as Hersheys, Reese's, Fruit Loops, Twinkies etc.
Also, what is Malt'o Meal?

Kind of like a wheat oat meal.
As for American food just get as many burgers as you can and avoid the fast food joints.
